Couples
Therapy
A supportive, loving relationship happens when each partner respects the other partner’s thoughts, beliefs, processes, and timing. I help couples transcend the stressors of modern life, chronic illness, and limiting childhood beliefs that have carried over into the present adult relationship, while addressing what needs to change to create a healthy dynamic. I work with heterosexual, LGBTQ, and polyamorous couples.
Couples counseling can be especially helpful when you and your partner can't get through to one another, experience a breach of trust, or are going through major changes. You and your partner can learn about what led to the present circumstances so that each of you can be more cooperative, loving, and able to express both of your needs in a respectful way.
Couples counseling helps improve communication and rebuild the bond that you once had with your partner. It is about enabling each partner to be heard and to hear themselves. It is about providing a mirror to reflect the change and provide a direction that will lead to growth. It is about identifying negative interaction cycles and being given the guidance to make the right changes. It is about rekindling a sense of intimacy.
